Moto Gymkhana   |    Roto-Moto Style

Taking inspiration from the Japanese sport of Moto Gymkhana, Roto-Moto exists to provide a fun and challenging motorcycle based sport in the UK. It draws on the mental and physical skills of riders to complete a course of obstacles against the clock. If you haven't seen the sport taking place, check out some of the videos from Japan on our video page. Some of these guys really are at the very top of their game.

Moto Gymkhana is simply the best way to learn how to ride and control your machine to the max. It's a great sport because any rider with a licence and a road legal machine can take part; from a moped to a Hayabusa, everyone is welcome. Come along to find out what it's all about. You can find out more about the club here and look through our list of events and meetings. If you want to participate in any event you can simply register to attend by clicking on the event and choosing "register".

You are welcome to bring along your partners and friends. You can find out more about the sport and the rules by clicking here, but essentially anyone with a licence, insurance and a road legal bike can attend and compete. Your machine must have road tyres and a road legal exhaust. This sport really is about your skill and not the modifications to your bike, and it encourages rider and machine harmony. To excel you will need to master accurate steering, hard acceleration and extreme braking. At the higher levels, Roto-Moto is a high-action, technical motorsport controlled by that ruthless task master - the stop watch. However, you can still have great fun and learn lots about your motorcycle even if you don't want to tear around the course.
